Devin Townsend has unveiled a new live performance of “Lexin”, offering a preview of the upcoming standalone release of ‘The Moth (The War – Live)’.
The performance was captured during Townsend’s 2025 staging of his ambitious rock opera ‘The Moth’ at De Oosterpoort in Groningen, Netherlands. The sprawling project was years in the making before Townsend finally issued the studio version in May of this year.
Now, the live incarnation is getting a wider release. ‘The Moth (The War – Live)’ was previously available exclusively as part of the deluxe artbook edition of ‘The Moth’, but will now arrive as its own release on November 6.
The 24-track performance features Townsend backed by an orchestra, capturing the expansive live presentation of the project in full. The standalone release will be available digitally as well as on CD and Blu-ray.
