Progressive metal legend/former king of the all-mighty skullet Devin Townsend, has once again begun playing songs from his days as a Strapping Young Lad. The songs in question were played as part of his sets on the The 70,000 Tons of Metal cruise. Fan favorites such as Love? and Aftermath were played as well as debuting the live version of deep cut Almost Again. Songs from the disbanded Devin Townsend Project were also played.
The following musicians were recruited to play the material
Guitars – Wes Hauch (ex-The Faceless/Black Crown Initiate)
Bass – Kyle Konkiel (Bad Wolves)
Drums – Dirk Verbeuren (Megadeth/ex-Soilwork)
After sailing the high seas Townsend will be returning to land to tour North America after a trio of dates in Canada, starting in late February.
