Devin Townsend has released an official live video featuring performances of “Prepare For War” and “The Big Snit”, both taken from his newly released rock opera ‘The Moth’.
The ambitious project, which arrived on May 29, saw Townsend collaborate with the North Netherlands Orchestra and Choir, marking the culmination of a creative process that had been in development for roughly a decade.
The newly released footage was filmed in March 2025 in Groningen, Netherlands, during two special live performances where Townsend brought ‘The Moth’ to life alongside the orchestra and choir.
The release offers a further glimpse into the scale and scope of the project, which blends progressive metal composition with full orchestral arrangement.
