DieHumane have dropped a brand-new collaborative single titled “The Deep”, featuring former Mushroomhead vocalist Jeffrey Nothing. The track arrives alongside a music video directed by Joshua Vargas, which can be streamed below.
The song will appear on the band’s upcoming sophomore album ‘A Monument To Decay’, due out in early 2026. The new record marks a lineup change, with Will Hunt (Evanescence, etc.) stepping in on drums to replace Sal Abruscato (ex-Life Of Agony, Type O Negative, etc.).
Discussing the collaboration, DieHumane shared:
“It was a blast to work with Jeffrey Nothing on this track. We knew that we wanted collaborating with friends/other artists we like to be a factor in this record and Jeff’s name was one of the first to come up. He wasn’t just a guest on the song — he was a big part of the writing as well. We’re big fans of his unique style that becomes the defining fingerprint of any project he joins. Aside from that, Jeff is a great friend and we love working with him.”
Jeffrey Nothing added:
“I was approached by Josh Vargas about a possible collaboration and I immediately fell in love with this song. My mind was off to the races and I wrote a few versions of the song. Just before tracking I said I may want to do yet another rewrite and he asked me to send a sample of what I had in mind and from there… it was on. This song was an absolute lifeline when I needed one most. The lyrics reflect where I was emotionally—watching my wife slowly disintegrate and feeling quite literally lost at sea. Thanks to DieHumane for having me. You guys from the start felt like family!”
The band’s current lineup also features Garret West (ex-Anova Skyway), Rick Hunolt (Exodus), Joshua Vargas, and Greg Hilligiest.

Just moved to Andalusia, AL 2 months ago. I’ve been to the Akron Agora a lot. I’ve been to the Cleveland Agora when I have drove up for Browns games. But unfortunately never any big time shows when I have rolled through there. But I love Mushroomhead. The ORIGINAL mask wearer’s Shitknot ain’t got spit on them. I soooooo would love to catch them at the Cleveland Agora. Is it Peabody’s? Was that it in Cleveland? If so? Are they still opened? I see BMC has gotten a lot of kick ass shows over the years. Last show I seen there was either BÖC or Jethro.
