Fear Factory guitarist Dino Cazares has seemingly responded to the recent return of former drummer Raymond Herrera with a tongue-in-cheek video poking fun at his former bandmate’s involvement with Angst Fabrik.
Christian Olde Wolbers, who previously served as bassist and vocalist for Fear Factory, launched Angst Fabrik in 2025. The project’s name translates from German to “Fear Factory,” leading to plenty of speculation surrounding the band’s intentions.
That speculation only intensified earlier this week when Wolbers shared footage of Herrera recording drums in the studio. Herrera, who was a founding member of Fear Factory, had not been publicly seen recording with the group in roughly 16 years. He is reportedly contributing drums to new Angst Fabrik material.
Cazares has now offered his own take on the situation, sharing a spoof video in which he jokingly presents himself as having returned to the drum kit after a 16-year absence.
The Fear Factory guitarist captioned the clip:
“After 16 long years Dino is back on the kit and he’s playing the most difficult insane Fear Factory drum beat ever. 4 on the floor insane kick pattern.
We put some synthetic oil on his knees and he’s as good as new.

The joke arrives as Fear Factory prepare their 11th studio album, which will be the band’s first full-length following the departure of longtime vocalist Burton C. Bell and the addition of Milo Silvestro.
The band recently unveiled “Roboticist,” the first single from the forthcoming record and their first new material featuring Silvestro.
Meanwhile, the history between the former members of Fear Factory remains complicated. Cazares currently owns the legal rights to the Fear Factory name, while Wolbers’ Angst Fabrik continues to take shape with Herrera now apparently contributing to the project.
