Dogma have unveiled another chapter in their growing visual narrative with the release of their new single, “My Matricidal.”
Arriving alongside an accompanying music video, the track serves as a follow-up to “Fate Unblinds” and further develops the thematic storyline that has become central to the band’s recent output.
Speaking about the inspiration behind the song, frontwoman Lilith explained that the themes of “My Matricidal” are rooted less in betrayal and more in the moment when accepted truths begin to collapse under the weight of reality.
“The themes explored in ‘My Matricidal’ are not really about betrayal. They are about recognition. There comes a moment in every person’s life when something they believed, trusted, or accepted can no longer withstand reality. Most people spend their energy focusing on the deception itself, but I think the more important question is what happens after the truth becomes impossible to ignore.”
She continued:
“Some people retreat into anger or denial. Others choose to learn from it and move forward with greater clarity. That moment of choice has always fascinated me because it ultimately shapes the direction of a person’s life. The truth reveals itself in time. What you do with it is your responsibility. You shape your fate.”
With “My Matricidal,” Dogma continue to build upon the conceptual framework introduced with “Fate Unblinds,” adding another layer to the band’s evolving mythology.
