Leprous frontman Einar Solberg has released his new single “Vita Fragilis”, a cinematic collaboration featuring the Norwegian Radio Orchestra and the fourth preview from his upcoming solo album ‘Vox Occulta’, due April 24th.
The track arrives alongside a new music video and continues the rollout of Solberg’s sophomore solo effort, which has leaned heavily into orchestral and progressive experimentation.
Speaking about the collaboration, Solberg highlighted the track’s unconventional structure and ambitious scope:
“‘Vita Fragilis’ was done together with the Norwegian Radio Orchestra. A cinematic and progressive track with no normal verse/chorus structure, and the longest stretch of harsh vocals I’ve done in a while. Curious how odd time signatures sound with a full symphonic orchestra?”
The single showcases a dramatic fusion of progressive metal and orchestral composition, pushing far beyond traditional song structures and emphasizing atmosphere, complexity, and dynamic range.
With ‘Vox Occulta’ arriving later this month, Solberg continues to expand his solo identity outside of Leprous, embracing a more experimental and cinematic direction.
