Electric Callboy have shared a new take on the 1983 hit “Maniac”, recording the classic song as part of a recent appearance with Musora.
Originally performed by Michael Sembello, “Maniac” became a worldwide hit after its inclusion in the 1983 film ‘Flashdance’. For the Musora session, the German electronicore outfit was challenged to arrange, record, and complete their own version of the song in just a single day.
The accompanying video follows the band through the creative process, offering a behind-the-scenes look at how they transformed the ’80s classic before unveiling the finished performance.
The cover arrives shortly after the release of Electric Callboy’s latest studio album, ‘TANZNEID’, which was released on July 21st.
