German electronicore outfit Electric Callboy have joined composer Yuki Hayashi to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the My Hero Academia anime with a new version of the iconic theme “You Say Run.”
The track has been reworked for a special 10th anniversary soundtrack commemorating the first season of the popular manga and anime franchise, with Electric Callboy adding their own vocals and electronicore approach to Hayashi’s composition.
Vocalist and programmer Kevin Ratajczak shared his excitement about the collaboration:
“We are beyond excited to have this opportunity to add our vocals to ‘You Say Run.’”
Frontman Nico Sallach also praised the original composition and described the experience of working on the new rendition as a particularly enjoyable one.
“The melody of ‘You Say Run’ is so powerful and uplifting—we just absolutely love this song! Working on this track was pure fun, and it was a huge honor to collaborate on it. We can’t wait for everyone to hear it! We really hope you’re as excited for it as we are.”
Hayashi likewise expressed his enthusiasm for bringing the collaboration together.
“I am deeply honored and thrilled to share this special sound born from the intersection of our shared energy.”
