With their upcoming album ÀNV set to arrive on April 25, 2025, via Nuclear Blast Records, Swiss folk metal outfit Eluveitie have unveiled their latest single, “Awen.” Showcasing the band’s signature Celtic instrumentation, the track embraces their folk-driven roots while pushing into modern metal territory.
Frontman Chrigel Glanzmann shared his thoughts on the new song:
“Awen is musically perhaps one of the album’s catchiest songs… sticking our necks out on pretty modern metal music, at the same time with a chorus coming in with that very traditional, mystically melancholic, solemn kind of ‘grandeur,’ much like older Eluveitie songs such as “Of Fire, Wind & Wisdom,” “Slania’s Song,” or “Alesia.” Lyrically, it time-travels some fairly bold lines off that several-thousand-year-old mythological text ÀNV is based on, into the modern age and makes them speak directly to us and our modern civilizations! We’re really happy with and proud of it, and we hope you’ll like it as much as we do!”
Pre-orders for ÀNV are available now.
