Massachusetts based grindcore outfit Escuela Grind have announced another round of lineup changes, introducing Jake Sanders as the band’s new drummer while confirming work has wrapped on their next release.
Sanders now steps in behind the kit, allowing longtime member Jesse Fuentes to move full-time into a guitar role alongside Justin and Krissy.
The reshuffle also appears to mark another exit for guitarist Tom Sifuentes, though the split seems to be on good terms. The band noted they hope to bring him back in the future as a third guitarist.
In a statement shared via social media on April 17th, the group said:
“It’s time to introduce you all to our new drummer! Jake Sanders’ blast beats are on another level. We look forward to sharing the stage with him for our upcoming tour in Europe.”
They also confirmed Fuentes’ switch to guitar and praised Tom’s recent return to the lineup.
“We appreciated Tom’s return to guitar over the last year & hope he can join us for third guitar madness in the near future.”
Most notably, the band revealed they have officially completed recording their next release.
“We have officially wrapped up recordings for the next EG release and we cannot wait for everyone to hear what is coming next!”
The latest update arrives after several years of frequent lineup movement for Escuela Grind, but it now appears the band are entering a new chapter with fresh material ready to go.
