Los Angeles hardcore outfit Desmadre have announced the departure of frontman Carlos Moreno, revealing that the split comes amid unspecified “unforeseen circumstances.”
In a statement shared today (June 19), the band thanked fans for their support over the years and acknowledged that the news may come as a surprise to those who have followed the group and Moreno throughout their rise.
“It is with heavy hearts that we announce that, due to unforeseen circumstances, Los will no longer be serving as the frontman of Desmadre. This was not an easy decision, and we know this news may come as a surprise to many of you who have supported him and this band throughout the years.”
The group added that a friend of the band will temporarily step in to handle vocal duties as they begin the next chapter of Desmadre. Despite the lineup change, they emphasized that they remain committed to carrying on with the same passion and energy that has defined the band.
Desmadre also reassured fans that work on their upcoming EP remains ongoing and that the project has not been derailed by Moreno’s departure.
“Desmadre is not going anywhere.”
The band closed their statement by promising “new music, new energy, new everything” as they move forward.
