Evanescence have officially announced their sixth studio album, ‘Sanctuary’, set for release on June 5th via BMG. The reveal comes after months of teasing and prior confirmation that new material had been in the works throughout the past year.
The band shared their excitement for the project in a brief statement:
“This album is over three years in the making and we are so damn proud of every second of it. Hope you love it and can’t wait for you to hear it! HERE WE GO!!!”
Leading the charge into this new era is the newly released single “Who Will You Follow”, which follows the previously issued track “Afterlife.” The latter was originally created for Netflix’s 2025 anime adaptation of Devil May Cry and has now been folded into the album’s final tracklist.
‘Who Will You Follow’ also continues Evanescence’s recent collaborative streak, featuring co-production from former Bring Me The Horizon keyboardist Jordan Fish alongside Zakk Cervini (Bring Me The Horizon, A Day To Remember). The track leans into the band’s evolving modern sound while maintaining their signature atmospheric edge.
