A side-stage curtain caught fire during Evanescence’s performance last night, June 12, at the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre in Tampa, FL, roughly nine songs into the band’s set. The unexpected ignition ironically occurred while the alternative metal group was performing the song “Calm Down.”
A stagehand quickly extinguished the flames, and Evanescence did not miss a beat during the incident. However, some fans have raised concerns about the methods used to put out the fire. Fan-filmed footage of the mishap is available online.
Evanescence is early into their world tour supporting their newly released album “Sanctuary.” The band has a long list of upcoming dates with various co-headliners.
