Canadian dubstep powerhouse Excision continues his longtime collaboration with heavier artists on his latest release with fellow bass titan Sullivan King. The new EP, Raise The Dead, drops November 25th and features contributions from Taylor Barber (Left To Suffer / Seven Hours After Violet) as well as members of From Ashes To New.
The title track, “Raise The Dead”, exemplifies the duo’s blend of heavy music and electronic aggression, while the song “Four Dollar Bill” includes a clear nod to Limp Bizkit, even featuring samples of Fred Durst. Fans of genre-bending metal and dubstep will find plenty to enjoy across this six-song collaborative effort.
“Raise The Dead represents our continued love for heavy music, bringing together metal and bass in ways we’ve only begun to explore,” the duo said in a joint statement.
The EP reinforces both Excision and Sullivan King’s ongoing trend of bridging electronic and metal music, building on past collaborations with acts like Korn, The Devil Wears Prada, and I Prevail.
