EXODUS Eye March Release for First of Two New Albums

Exodus are targeting a tentative March 20th, 2026 release for the first of two new albums featuring returning vocalist Rob Dukes. Guitarist Gary Holt, who also plays with Slayer, shared the plans during a recent appearance on Robbs MetalWorks:

“It’s fucking awesome. It’ll be out next March, I think — March 20 — and it’s fucking awesome. I mean, it’s so awesome. We’re so proud of this record.”

Holt revealed that roughly 80% of the follow-up album is already written, with about eight songs completed, though some recording still remains. The first album is expected to feature ten tracks. While the two albums were written and recorded in close proximity, they will be released separately and supported by distinct touring cycles.

Reflecting on the new material, Holt praised its quality and variety:

“The new album is so killer, dude. And everybody says that — I know that — but, dude, this album’s so good. Me and Tom Hunting [Exodus drummer] call each other and [I tell him], when I listen to it, it makes me wanna cry, it’s so good. It’s that fucking good. We made something special.”

He also highlighted the songwriting and vocal performances:

“It’s just the songs, dude. It’s all about the songs. I mean, it’s crushing, but it’s all anthems. And it’s so varied, this record. So many different aspects of Exodus are in there, from the blinding speed to the slowest, heaviest shit we’ve ever done. And Rob‘s vocals are, like, at the top of the pyramid on this shit.”

The band enlisted Mark Lewis (Megadeth, Cannibal Corpse) to mix the first of these albums, which will mark Exodus’ 13th and 14th studio releases respectively.
