The fate of Faith No More remains unclear, as the band continues its extended dormancy. Earlier this year, bassist Billy Gould addressed the band’s uncertain status, stating in January:
“I don’t know. I honestly don’t know. And you don’t have to believe me, but there’s nothing… Right now we’re in a really weird spot, a really strange spot, and I can’t really tell you what’s going on. I don’t know myself. I get different information from people, and I’m in the band, so…”
Faith No More initially planned to stay active, but the pandemic and its aftermath took a toll, particularly on vocalist Mike Patton, who struggled with mental health challenges that led to the cancellation of scheduled performances. While Patton has since undergone therapy and resumed work with his other projects, Faith No More remains inactive, effectively on a “semi-permanent hiatus.”
Despite this inactivity, a surprise development occurred on February 25th, when a live album titled Evidencia (Live In Santiago ’95) surfaced on multiple digital platforms. The 17-track release captures the band’s September 8th, 1995 performance at Teatro Monumental in Santiago, Chile, during the ‘Monsters Of Rock’ festival.
Adding to the intrigue, the album was issued via Brujo, rather than Patton’s Ipecac Recordings, which has handled the band’s recent output. While YouTube streams of the album have since been removed, it remains available on Deezer, leaving questions about its legitimacy.
At this time, the band has yet to address the release. Meanwhile, Faith No More is approaching a major milestone, with their 1995 album King For A Day… Fool For A Lifetime turning 30 on March 28th. Whether that occasion will prompt any official activity remains to be seen.

We want FNM to keep touring.. Australia needs another concert!
Yes! Yes we do!
I would love to see them one more time 🤘
Well this came from out of nowhere…
Joey Rodriguez now everything’s ruined
Michael Albanese Take it easy guys, don’t have a midlife crisis.. another album could be epic!! (I’m so sorry…my intrusive thought won… haha)
Jon Sutton hopefully their not Falling to Pieces. The fans will have to put them together
Michael Albanese it’s all falling to pieces, but I’ve got no evidence.
Joey Rodriguez this is a pretty epic post.
Joey Rodriguez they might as well be digging the grave now.
Joey Rodriguez could be album of the year though!
Joey Rodriguez
Seems like they’re Falling to Pieces
Joey Rodriguez don’t look at me, I’m ugly in the morning
Please come back to Sydney Australia!!
I need my Faith No More fix ♥️
No tour, midlife crisis for me
I read an article around the time of Sol Invictus where Patton said he was hesitant to make the record cause he wasn’t sure if he wanted to do a faith no more recored cause he felt he was a Lil to old and over it. But hey, he sure ain’t to old to Mr Bungle it these days so let’s hope that FNM returns.
My favorite band and still
If Mikey is focusing on an old band let it be Bungle.
I saw them at reading in the 90’s but this news is not surprising and I don’t have an issue with
Patton is a cuck
Al Bond you wish lol
Derek Oleston A fauci whore
Derek Oleston 🎯 (no lol)
Al Bond Ok cult boy.
Where is Jim Martin?? He needs to make a come back!!
Gutierrez Estevez he grows Pumpkins for a living
STATION 🤘
It is still online on Youtube.
let’s just do more Mr. Bungle
Cole Ekness No thanks. I appreciate where Mr. Bungle stands in the pantheon of Mike Patton. Please though, let’s hear some Faith No More. Ideally more live dates, please? How bout we get Angel Dust played in it’s entirety?
Chris Ryan currently they Dave Lombardo and Scott Ian helping out. That’s why we need more Mr Bungle
I thought thrash Bungle really sucked when I saw them recently. Was a total waste of a Bungle show, and Mike is wasting his time focussing on that
I don’t think FNM is artistically fulfilling to MP anymore… he seems always be the road block. But the new one is awesome. I’m glad we at least got that!
Time to move on with a new singer or just call it a day. No point in allowing one person to hold the whole project to ransom.
The other guys should be allowed to play their own songs. If they have to do it without Patton so be it.
Luke Patrick patton is the draw. the amount of money a band can get by having him on stage is astronomically higher. trust me.
Dennis J Fesenmyer Patton is not the draw for me. Not anymore. I just want to hear Puffy, Billy and Roddy lock into a groove.
Patton not being there would not put me off buying a ticket.
Luke Patrick Same but we’re not the majority.
Chris Roeder honestly at this point I’d argue it doesn’t really matter about the majority. The rest of the band are all around 60, realistically how much longer will they play this style?
Plenty of acts play smaller venues in the last decade or so of their careers and I’d say that there are enough long term loyal fans that would still attend. Agreed they won’t headline Download without Patton but does that matter? I saw Roddy and Joey as Man On Man a couple of times in small venues and they were awesome. If they are happy to play to a smaller crowd and can make it financially viable then it could only be a positive.
Are they going to let Patton hold them to ransom for another five years and then get up onstage in their mid 60s? Maybe and if so well good for them.
It just seems a real shame to me to let it all fizzle out like this.
Luke Patrick you can’t have an FNM show without Mike Patton. That’s like Metallica without Hetfield
Ash Murdoch is it though? I’m not sure I agree with that anymore. I would have agreed with you maybe ten years ago but these days I’m not so sure. Why would FNM with a singer who doesn’t seem to give a damn about the band (and who arguably seems to resent being a member) be better than starting afresh?
FNM existed before he was a member and could arguably continue without him. Even if they just got a different vocalist and called the band something else to avoid confusion.
Such a sad end to a great band if it just stops like this.
A new Fantomas album would be better!
It’s been dead in the water for years now, let sleeping dogs lie
Epic news story
Yeah..
Well..
They STILL OWE AUSTRALIA A FUCKING TOUR!
I’ve got the bloody ticket to prove it!
🙄
I’d rather see new Tomahawk. FNM is great, but I feel they have done what they wanted too.
Isn’t an unofficial live album just a bootleg?
FUCKING FANTÔMAS!¡!¡!¡!¡!
Mike Patton having a midlife crisis
Jason Hyde At 60?
Michael Kay I mean people are living longer these days lol
Jason Hyde that’s truly amazing. Party on
