Texas progressive metalcore outfit Fervence are cranking up the intensity with their latest single, “Ascension.”
The new track offers another preview of the band’s upcoming full-length ‘Constructs’, which is set to arrive October 16 through Metal Blade Records.
According to founding guitarist Trent Odneal, the song was deliberately written to inject a burst of unpredictability into the album, favoring a shorter and faster approach than some of the record’s other material.
“‘Ascension’ came about because I felt like the album really needed chaos – short, fast, and seemingly out of left field.”
Odneal describes the track as something of a sonic fever dream, briefly stepping away from its frantic attack before being dragged back into the surrounding chaos.
“Kind of like a fever-dream with a fleeting moment of reflection before it slips away, only to be pulled back into the chaos.”
With “Ascension” now available, Fervence continue building anticipation for ‘Constructs’, their forthcoming Metal Blade Records release.
