Filth Involved In Hit-And-Run Accident While On Tour, GoFundMe Launched

North Carolina nu-deathcore outfit Filth are continuing their current tour under difficult circumstances after being involved in a hit-and-run accident that left their touring vehicle completely destroyed.

The band revealed that the incident occurred yesterday morning while traveling along Interstate 95. According to the group, another driver fled the scene following the collision, leaving the band with a totaled van and heavily damaged trailer. Fortunately, all members of the band escaped the accident without injuries.

Despite the setback, the group quickly scrambled to keep the tour alive, securing a replacement RV on short notice. With additional help from their tourmates Blackwater Drowning, Filth were still able to perform later that same night.

However, the financial fallout from the crash has placed the band in a difficult position. Between emergency travel costs, replacing their vehicle, ongoing tour expenses, and merchandise obligations, the band says they are now facing significant financial strain and have launched a fundraiser to help cover the losses.

In a statement shared with fans, the band explained the situation and asked for support as they work to finish the tour:

“Yesterday morning we were in an accident on I 95 that ended with the other individual fleeing the scene and us with a totaled van and wrecked trailer. Everyone is okay and safe. We were able to rush around and lock in a RV to finish the tour, and with the help of our tour mates Blackwater Drowning we were able to still perform last night. Between the cost of the RV rental, needing to purchase a new van, tour expenses, merch payment that has to be paid, etc, we are drastically in the negative and not sure how we can move forward. We truly hate to ask for any help, but at the moment we are at our wits end. We can not express how much we appreciate all the support we’ve gotten over the years from everyone, it means the world to us.
