Filth Is Eternal have announced their new album ‘Impossible World’, set for release on March 17, and kicked off the rollout with the debut of their new single “Stay Melted.” The track arrives alongside a music video directed by Sebastien Deramat, now streaming online.
“Stay Melted” serves as the first glimpse into Impossible World, a record that features guest appearances from an eclectic lineup including Joe Trohman (Fall Out Boy), Johnny Whitney (The Blood Brothers), Gina Gleason (Baroness), and Lauren Lavin.
The band described the motivation behind the lead single:
“The world can feel like a total trash fire to the point where we become lethargic. Lethargy makes us our own worst enemy; sometimes you have to kill a thing before you lose yourself to it completely.”
Vocalist Lis DiAngelo also spoke about the sonic evolution present on the new album, highlighting a noticeable shift from the band’s previous work:
“I think the biggest changes from LP1 to now is that we’ve upped the intention by using more melody, harmony and singing in general. We’re working with aggression, but moving toward something beautiful and true.”
Impossible World was engineered and mixed by Taylor Young (Twitching Tongues, God’s Hate), and spans 12 tracks:
