    Fire From The Gods Introduce New Frontman Myke Terry (Volumes, Ex-Bury Your Dead), Debut New Music at Hometown Show

    Texas-based alternative metal outfit Fire From The Gods made their live return last night, unveiling a new frontman in the process. Taking the stage at Come And Take It Live in Austin, TX, the band introduced Myke Terry (Volumes, ex-Bury Your Dead) as their new vocalist.

    The group’s appearance at the Traitors show came as a surprise, with their name being quietly added to the lineup ahead of the performance.

    Marking their live return, the band debuted two new songs with Terry, including their upcoming single, ‘The Great Unknown,’ which is set for release soon. In the meantime, you can get a taste of what’s to come by checking out their performance of ‘Excuse Me‘ with Terry below.

    The setlist for the night was:
    “Incinerate” (new song)
    “Soul Revolution“
    “Voiceless“
    “The Great Unkown” (new song)
    “Excuse Me“
    “End Transmission”

    While Fire From The Gods has confirmed that Terry will be leading the band moving forward, no official statement has been given regarding the departure of their previous vocalist, AJ Channer. The band has asked for respect regarding the matter and remains focused on this next chapter.

      I know AJ wasn’t even the original vocalist but man, he was such a great fit for the band.

      I love Myke too but this isn’t a good route tbh.

      If you look at AJs instagram seems like he went through some loss and had a kid in 2024.

      His recent posts talk about schizophrenia… maybe his mental health just wasn’t in it anymore. Which is fair. Just wish we had an official statement to go off of.

When aj joined thats when I fell in love with the sound. Its just fd up how this all went down! Its obviously messy because there was no statement from the band.

          Solo Alexander first of all dude it Drews and Bonners band they own it they had Michael and Eric first before AJ if u don’t like Myke Terry singing for them then don’t come to they’re upcoming shows or listen the new album that they’re working on who cares.

      Found the band with AJ. Bummed to hear he’s not part of it anymore but I felt the same way when bury your dead picked up Myke. I was definitely blown away when I saw Myke with bury your dead though. Hoping this is for the best

      Disappointed there was no announcement. Wish everyone the best, but AJ’s voice, energy & spirit is what made us fall in love with FFTG.

          Nathan Harper well it honestly wouldn’t be hard since volumes in recent years hasn’t really toured that often & fftg is just now starting up again so plenty of time to sort it out. It’s not difficult to be in multiple bands if you can be professional & communicate schedules properly.

      Honestly, Myke is fantastic in any project he’s a part of so I’m sure they will do just fine. Stoked to see AJ gone cause he was a fuckin dickhead. Won’t ever forget how he fucking made fun of local openers on shows based on appearances and shit. Guy can kick rocks

        Balin Howard saw that this morning. Kinda salty tbh. Nothing against Mike at all, but aj was a badass singer and an even better person. Everytime I saw them play aj was always coming out to say hey and have a beer after the set.

      AJ was good but he was getting political and crying out too much about it. It was the opposite of Eric July’s message. AJ had a good voice and some banger songs but I welcome this change.

      Dealing with our mental health issues, moving to a new state, and having the baby all at the same time… it was time for us to slow things down and focus on family.
