Veteran thrash metal outfit Flotsam and Jetsam have officially released their new single “Rats In The Temple”, along with an accompanying music video directed by Lance Gergar.
The track serves as the title song from the band’s upcoming sixteenth studio album, ‘Rats In The Temple’, which is scheduled for release on August 28 through Napalm Records.
Speaking about the newly released single, vocalist Eric Knutson shared his excitement surrounding the song and the technical demands involved in creating it.
He stated:
“We’re super excited to release the first single from the album, which is very fittingly the title track, ‘Rats In The Temple’! This song has a lot to say, and we hope the fans love the song as much as we do. This is possibly one of the most technically challenging songs Flotsam has ever recorded, and we look forward to delivering this song live as well!”
Earlier this month, the band officially revealed additional details regarding the forthcoming album, including its full track listing and release information.
With “Rats In The Temple”, Flotsam And Jetsam continue to showcase the aggressive and technical thrash sound that has defined the band’s decades-long career.
