San Antonio metalcore act Foreword have come out of dormancy with the video below for their new standalone single “Going Under“.
Production on the song was handled by Chris Mora of Warhorse Recordings, while the video was directed by Brandon Timekeeper.
The lyrics for “Going Under” are:
Oh how I’ve tried to sail away
Sail away now
The rising tide may pull me under the ocean
Witnessing my fate designed by these waters
I can’t help but wonder if I’m going underFace down in the sand
Fearing this is the end
My arms beg me to surrender
I’m afraid
I’m alone
My screams become whispers in the wind
Finding solace in the silenceDrowning
I can’t breathe
I’m fading
Patiently I’m waiting
For something to save me.
I’ve got anchors for issues and they’re pulling me
And I can’t help but wonder
Am I going underShould I fight or should I just give in
A simple question till it’s time to (sink or swim)
I’m going under as I struggle to breathe
Soon I’ll sink into a silence so deafeningThe sun is fading as the depths call out my name
Reaching for the surface while I’m weighted by my shameMy lungs
Fill with the sea
Pulled by the deep
Take over me
A sense of tranquilityDrowning
I can’t breathe
I’m fading
Patiently I’m waiting
For something to save me.
I’ve got anchors for issues and they’re pulling me
And I can’t help but wonder
Am I going underI see a light flicker from the shore
Wind in my sails charting out my course
Cause I’ve been drifting for days
Lost in this haze
Will I be okay
Will I be okayKeep my
My head afloat
Accept that it’s too late
A false sense of hope
Keeps me on my toes
Through the fog we can see the light! My lungs
Fill with the sea
Pulled by the deep
Take over me
A sense of tranquility
