Pennsylvania rap-rock/nu metal outfit From Ashes To New have unveiled another preview of their upcoming album ‘Reflections’ with the release of a new music video for “Die For You.”
The visual for the track was directed by Orie McGinness, who has previously worked with artists such as Bad Omens and Poppy.
Speaking about the song, vocalist Matt Brandyberry explained that the track explores the emotional toll of a toxic relationship:
“the fallout of a relationship built on control, desire, and guilt. It’s a song that captures the exhaustion of giving endlessly to someone who keeps asking for more and mistaking survival for love. At its core, the song is about the moment clarity breaks through, forcing you to question how much of yourself you’re willing to lose.”
Bandmate Danny Case expanded on that theme, describing the track as a reflection on the imbalance that can develop when one person keeps sacrificing for a relationship that never seems satisfied.
“‘Die For You‘ is about bending over backwards, doing everything you possibly can to please someone in a relationship, and it just never ends up being enough. And it feels like no matter what you do, it is just never good enough.”
The song appears on From Ashes To New’s upcoming album ‘Reflections’, which is scheduled to arrive April 17th through Better Noise Music.
