GALACTIC EMPIRE Unleash Metal Cover of The Lord of the Rings Theme

Masked cinematic metal collective Galactic Empire have dropped their take on the iconic Lord of the Rings theme, originally composed by Howard Shore for the legendary Tolkien film franchise.

Speaking on the new rendition, Lord Sihk shared:

“Behold! The mighty Galactic Empire has infiltrated the remote system of Mordor to pay tribute to The Lord of the Rings. This composition is a medley of the iconic themes from the franchise. The powerful Sith Lord Howard Shore has created many defining musical moments throughout the epic film series and The Empire has worked tirelessly to do them justice. We hope to evoke the Dark Lord Sauron with this metallic journey into the heart of Mount Doom.”

The track is set to appear on the band’s upcoming album Cinemetal, arriving October 24th via Pure Noise Records. Unlike their past efforts rooted exclusively in the Star Wars universe, the new record expands into multiple film franchises, reimagined through Galactic Empire’s symphonic metal lens.
