GEL’s Streaming Profiles Hit with AI-Generated Track “Gooners” Featuring Their Breakup Statement

New Jersey hardcore outfit GEL played their final show on March 19th, officially disbanding under increasingly bizarre circumstances. Following their performance, the band issued a statement accusing former guitarist Anthony Webster of embezzling funds on “a truly unbelievable number of OnlyFans purchases and mysterious CashApp transactions, likely in the same lane.” Additionally, they alleged that Webster leaked explicit images of band members online.

In the days since, anonymous counterclaims and past controversies involving members of GEL have surfaced. Meanwhile, a new song titled “Gooners” unexpectedly appeared on the band’s digital streaming profiles, including Spotify and Apple Music. The AI-generated track seemingly sets their breakup statement to music, though it does not appear to be an official release.

Adding to the controversy, the song’s cover art takes a jab at Zulu, who recently parted ways with vocalist Anaiah Rasheed Muhammad following allegations he has since denied.
