Swedish occult rock outfit Ghost are heading back to theaters later this year. The multi-platinum band have officially begun teasing a new cinematic release scheduled to arrive this August, marking the follow-up to their successful 2024 hybrid concert film Rite Here Rite Now.
While full details surrounding the project have yet to be revealed, the upcoming feature has already been confirmed for both traditional theatrical screenings and IMAX showings.
The new film is widely expected to draw from footage captured during the band’s massive 2025 ‘Skeletour’ touring cycle. Two performances held last September at the Palacio de los Deportes in Mexico City were professionally filmed by the band, with frontman Tobias Forge previously hinting that the recordings were intended for a future release.
Ghost’s last theatrical project, Rite Here Rite Now, blended live footage with narrative sequences and performed strongly during its worldwide theatrical run, helping further establish the band’s expanding multimedia ambitions beyond the stage.
