God’s Hate have officially ended their hiatus with a surprise live appearance at this year’s Sound And Fury festival, nearly a year after stepping away from the stage.
The hardcore outfit, fronted by AEW wrestler Brody King, announced their hiatus in July 2025 following their appearance at that year’s Sound And Fury. Since then, King has remained heavily involved in professional wrestling, receiving a significant push with AEW over the past year.
The band’s unexpected return came during the closing day of the 2026 edition of Sound And Fury on August 16th. God’s Hate took the stage shortly after a performance from Twitching Tongues, delivering a surprise set that marked their first live appearance since the hiatus began.
Fan-filmed footage of the performance has since surfaced online, with the band’s set beginning roughly 14 minutes into the footage.
The live comeback also arrives just ahead of a new three-song release from God’s Hate.
Titled ‘Won’t Be Disgraced,’ the release is scheduled to arrive digitally on August 18th through Closed Casket Activities. The EP will feature the title track alongside “I Am The Cure” and “Warriors Will Reign.”
The latter is a cover of Harm’s Way‘s “Warriors Will Reign” and features a collection of guest vocalists, including Karl Buechner (Earth Crisis), Ray Cappo (Youth Of Today, Shelter) and Harm’s Way vocalist James Pligge.
The guest-heavy cover is also believed to serve as a tribute to late Harm’s Way guitarist Bo Lueders.
With God’s Hate now back onstage and new music arriving within days, the band’s surprise return suggests their hiatus may have officially come to an end.
