Gojira Wins ‘Best Metal Performance’ at 2025 GRAMMYs with Historic “Mea Culpa (Ah! Ça ira!)”

Ahead of tonight’s (February 2nd) 67th Annual GRAMMY Awards ceremony at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, CA, most of the awards were presented during a livestreamed ‘Premiere Ceremony.’ Among them, the awards most relevant to our readers were announced, with Gojira taking home the prestigious win for Best Metal Performance.

The honor was awarded for their collaborative track, “Mea Culpa (Ah! Ça ira!)” with Marina Viotti and composer Victor le Masne. The track also marked a historic moment for metal in 2024, as it was performed live at the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics—making it the first time a metal band had received such an opportunity.
