Gruesome have officially returned with “Silent Echoes”, the crushing title track from their long-awaited new album. It’s the first new full-length from the death metal revivalists in seven years and will see a June 6th release via Relapse Records.
The band offered a brief statement on the single:
“This tune should give you a good sense of what we’re doing in this new era of the band – it’s melodic, musical, heavy and dynamic – while still keeping the DEATH in Death Metal at the heart of things. It’s a journey both forward and inward, and I hope you enjoy the ride!”
As with their past releases, Silent Echoes is a full-blown tribute to the legacy of Death, with this chapter specifically drawing inspiration from 1991’s progressive death metal milestone Human.
