Grunge Supergroup Mad Season’s “Above” Getting 30th Anniversary Vinyl Pressing

A new limited edition 30th anniversary vinyl pressing of Mad Season‘s gold-certified 1995 debut album Above will be available on March 14th via Artist Friendly Media Co. This short-lived band brought together a star-studded lineup from the grunge scene, including the late Layne Staley of Alice In Chains, Mike McCready of Pearl Jam, the late Mark Lanegan, his former Screaming Trees bandmate Barrett Martin, and John Baker Saunders.

This reissue features a newly remastered version of the album, alongside five bonus tracks that were part of the 2013 deluxe edition. Additionally, the album includes new liner notes written by Mike McCready and Barrett Martin. McCready shared his thoughts on the reissue, saying:

“Playing with Baker, Barrett, Layne, and Mark was a privilege I will always cherish. As Above is re-released, I hope you enjoy it. I remain grateful for the opportunity to share that time, that music, and those memories with all of you.”
