Half Me Premiere “Weather Eye” Video As New Single Targets Systems Of Control

German metalcore outfit Half Me have released a new single, “Weather Eye,” arriving online today, June 4, alongside a freshly premiered music video.

While the band did not issue a formal statement of their own, a press release accompanying the track laid out the lyrical intent behind the song in blunt terms, framing it as a direct confrontation with authority structures and manipulation.

“Lyrically, ‘Weather Eye’ is a direct attack on systems of control and the figures who exploit fear, loyalty, and suffering for their own gain. Lines such as ‘These saints hold smoking guns’ and ‘No one’s watching over you’ dismantle the illusion of protection and expose the hypocrisy hidden behind authority, belief, and power. Throughout the song, feelings of apathy, hopelessness, and inner collapse collide with a growing sense of resistance, ultimately culminating in a violent rejection of those who seek to control others.”

The track leans into themes of disillusionment and psychological pressure, building toward a tone of resistance and rejection rather than resignation.
