Matt March, guitarist of Portland, Maine hardcore/hip-hop outfit Hard Ca$h, was hospitalized this past weekend after being shot multiple times in the leg in Philadelphia, PA. March suffered a shattered tibia and will require several surgeries. A GoFundMe has been launched to help cover his mounting medical expenses.
The shooting took place on August 9 in Center City Philadelphia and reportedly stemmed from an argument between the alleged shooter and two men, including March, outside a nearby music venue. Shortly afterward, the suspect fired multiple rounds into an Airbnb where March was staying, striking him approximately five times in the leg. Another man was also shot in the leg during the incident.
Authorities have arrested a suspect, who now faces charges including attempted murder and aggravated assault.
