Metalcore veterans Haste The Day have shared another preview of their long-awaited return, releasing the new single “Oblivion” alongside an official music video. The track marks the third offering from the band’s forthcoming album Dissenter, their first full-length release since 2015.
Set to arrive May 1st through Solid State Records, Dissenter continues the group’s reemergence following last month’s single “Liminal,” which featured guest vocals from Silent Planet frontman Garrett Russell. With “Oblivion,” the band shifts toward a more cinematic presentation, pairing expansive atmosphere with their signature metalcore intensity.
The accompanying video was directed by Garrett Drake, known for his work with Miss May I and Silent Planet, and can be viewed below.
The band said of the track:
“‘Oblivion‘ is a cinematic, apocalyptic metalcore track that leans into scale and emotion. The song balances heaviness with atmosphere, creating a sense of finality and awe. Lyrically, ‘Oblivion‘ tells an apocalyptic love story — grappling with loss, reconnection, and what it means to step into the void at the end of all things.”
