Ex-My Dying Bride vocalist Aaron Stainthorpe’s new project High Parasite have unleashed the previously unreleased track “Drag Me Under”, originally recorded for their 2024 debut album Forever We Burn. The song, now officially out, was held back from that release due to its heavier, Rammstein-inspired tone.
“We all loved this song when we recorded it for our first album, but it was a little different from the other tracks, with more of a Rammstein kind of vibe,” bassist Tombs explained. “So we decided to hold it back… until this moment. We’ve already started recording our second studio album, we’re looking to the future, so now ‘Drag Me Under’ makes perfect sense, a glimpse into what’s to come.”
The track arrives as the band prepares for a string of European shows in March, offering fans a live preview of their evolving sound.
