Loïc Rossetti, the former vocalist of German post-metal collective The Ocean, has joined forces with Hippotraktor for the band’s new single, “Builder Of Eden.”
The collaboration arrives alongside a newly released music video and serves as the third single from Hippotraktor’s upcoming album, ‘Annihilist’. The record is slated for an October 2 release through Pelagic Records.
The band recruited Rossetti for what they describe as one of the album’s most massive and punishing tracks, with the song continuing the narrative surrounding its unnamed protagonist.
Hippotraktor commented:
“For ‘Builder Of Eden’, we joined forces with one of our biggest inspirations, Loïc Rossetti, to create one of the most monumental and heavy tracks on the album. The song follows our nameless protagonist as he violently defies his creator, breaking free from the empty burden of existence thrust upon him.”
They added:
“We are all hypothetical legends, regressed. Overprivileged sons trapped in a numb, mechanical dream.”
