Formed in 2024 when Abigail Hill joined the project, “Awaiting Abigail” is, in part, a reunion of three high
school classmates that were in bands together in the mid to late 90’s: Heather, James and Laurie.
Together, they were most associated with the band Lost Reality until 2000. Heather went on to play
drums with several other bands, most notably Faded Grace from Dallas, TX. Laurie’s (Larbs) roots are in
punk-rock and she has played with Jenny Dick and other Dallas punk bands. James is a classically and
jazz-trained trumpet player and spent 18 years teaching public school. The remainder of Awaiting Abigail
consists of father-daughter combo Mike and Kori Tolfa. Kori was a band student of James’ in North
Richland Hills and Mike a general aviation friend and flying buddy. In mid-2024 James met Abigail and
knew immediately she was the right person to front the band. Abby is a wonderfully talented young
vocalist and actress studying theatre arts at a local university. She met and rehearsed with the others
and quickly became the namesake and melodic force of the band. Abigail enjoys many other solo
projects both musical and theatrical across almost every genre.

The sextet combines forces to form a two-guitar-attack, synthesized soundscapes and a pounding
rhythmic groove with Abigail surfing in and out, over and under colorful textures in unisons, simple and
complex harmonies.
