Formed in San Angelo, Texas in 2018, Victera started out as an idea and a few fun little jam sessions between 4 strangers with a common love for the art that is heavy metal. Originally an instrumental project, the band had to cut down to 3 members in the beginning due to unforseen circumstances, and started to make a name for themselves playing at local venues. A year into their journey, they found that on of the original 4, Justin, who was originally a guitarist, turned out to be a better fit for the project as a vocalist. From that moment, the band began its first leg of their quest to conquer the modern metal world! After playing a few more shows, they decided to record their first single, “Eat Me Alive”, in their hometown at a local studio with a man named John “Jonesy” Jones, and would even go back a second time to record their first 3-song DEMO. Playing all over Texas their first 2 years, Victera gained a lot of fans and great shows, including an opening slot at a halloween show with national touring artists FILTH and The Last Ten Seconds Of Life. Just as the climb started though, the rock unfortunately gave way under pressure, and the band was forced to part ways with their drummer and long-time friend, Javier, due to personal life happenstances. The band took a small 8- month hiatus, but never gave up hope to keep not only the Victera name alive, but the message as well. Through some trials and tribulations, they were finally found by ex-A Threat To The Enemy drummer, Michael Hill, who proved not only that he was a very knowledgeable and seasoned veteran in the industry, but a quality piece of the puzzle that they had been missing as well. Since then, the band has played as much as they can, and as of this moment have recorded 3 more singles with Burnt House Records out of Lubbock Texas, and their first music video, “Faith (Or Lack Thereof)” with the new lineup. Adding bigger names to their show rosters, including Jinjer, (hed) PE, Evergreen Terrace, Fox Lake, and Within The Giants Reach, Victera’s live performances have been widely known to be very energetyic with a heavy groove aspect. The band continues to strive for the ultimate greatness that is memorabilia cast in their honor to the metal kingdom, and to all that represent and enjoy it!
