Spawned as an Austin, Texas punk-rock project in 2012, Vilamoura matured rapidly into a metalcore and post-hardcore vision sporting alternative vocals, melodic choruses, and heavy distorted guitar rhythms over fast-paced percussion. The band pulls inspiration heavily from artists in the vein of I Prevail, Bad Omens, and Bring Me the Horizon, combining pop and emo-influenced hooks with heavy metal and hard rock riffs and structure. They would find their primary lineup as a dual-vocalist project by the end of 2013. The band officially branded as, “Vilamoura,” shortly before releasing their debut EP, “Buried Alive,” in 2015.
In 2022 after a 6 year hiatus Vilamoura official came back to the scene with its release of “Bitter” in late 2022 and “Let Me Out” in early 2023. Vilamoura’s release of “Double Down” (now at 500,000+ Streams) on December 1st, 2023 would set the new standard for the project in their musical identity. With the addition of singles “Blind” , “Omega”, and “Morning Start” in 2024 Vilamoura is geared up to continue to release much more music in 2025.
