Chicago post-metal outfit Huntsmen have announced that they are bringing their time together as a band to an end.
The group shared the news on October 1, explaining that the decision to disband came after considerable reflection and was made collectively by the members.
“After much reflection, we have made the mutual decision to bring our time together as a band to a close. We are incredibly proud of the music we made, the stages we shared, and the memories we built together. We have simply reached a point where it is time for each of us to step away and focus on new personal journeys and next chapters.”
Rather than pointing to a specific circumstance behind the breakup, Huntsmen described the decision as a natural point of transition for the members as they move toward their respective next chapters.
The band also took the opportunity to thank the fans who supported them throughout their run, specifically acknowledging those who purchased records and merchandise, streamed their music and attended their shows.
“Your energy and belief in us meant everything. Thank you for being such an unforgettable part of our story.”
Huntsmen closed their statement by expressing their gratitude to everyone who had been part of the band’s journey.
