Immortal Confirm Eleventh Album Is Fully Written, New Blashyrkh Era Incoming

Norwegian black metal pioneers Immortal have officially completed the writing process for their upcoming eleventh studio album, the follow-up to 2023’s War Against All.

The update was shared on April 19th by Demonaz Doom Occulta, who continues to lead the band’s current iteration. In his statement, he confirmed the new material is finished and stays aligned with the band’s signature style.

“Greetings, hordes! The writing of the next Immortal album is finished. The new material follows our steady path of fast riff-powered Blashyrkh metal. More news will follow!”

At present, it remains unclear who else—if anyone—will be involved in the recording process alongside Demonaz, with Immortal currently operating as a solo-led project.

Further details on recording, lineup participation, and release plans are expected in the coming months.
