Swedish melodic death metal pioneers In Flames have booked a short string of North American headlining dates this May, bridging gaps between festival appearances. Support on most dates will come from Thrown, Distant, and Upon Stone, though a few shows will feature In Flames performing solo.
Pre-sales for the mini-tour launch tomorrow, January 21 at 10:00am EST, while general onsale begins Friday, January 23 at 10:00am local time.

Man, it sucks living in Ohio during the spring. All the bands go to Sonic Temple and that’s it. I’m not spending my life savings to go to a festival

Matt Weber The band was called In Flames when each current member joined. A band name is a brand. When there is success tied to that brand name you dont change. When BDT Capital bought Whataburger, they didn’t change the name. When Whole Foods was bought by Amazon, they didnt change the name. Companies dont purchase successful brands and then change it. A band is a business and operates the same way. The In Flames brand has clearly done very well since Anders and Bjorn have been the main guys despite them not being original members and not writing albums that sound like Clayman or Jester Race anymore.
