In This Moment Release “Sleeping With The Enemy” Video, Tease Dark Themes Of Upcoming Album

In This Moment have unveiled their new single, “Sleeping With The Enemy”, alongside an official music video directed by Michael Lombardi, whose previous work includes projects involving Finger Eleven and Eva Under Fire. The track marks another preview of the band’s upcoming ninth studio album, which is still awaiting an official title and release date.

The new song continues the cinematic and theatrical direction the band have become known for, pairing heavy alternative metal textures with dark, emotionally charged themes. Production on the track was handled by Drew Fulk, known for his work with Disturbed and Knocked Loose.

Vocalist Maria Brink spoke about the meaning behind the single and the tone of the forthcoming record.

“With ‘Sleeping With The Enemy’ and our upcoming album, we’re confronting the darkness — whether it’s inside us or external. It’s about looking that darkness in the face and transforming it into empowerment. We feel so exhilarated and ready to show the world what we’ve conjured up.”

The forthcoming effort will serve as the band’s first full-length release since signing with Better Noise Music. While In This Moment have spent considerable time crafting the album, Brink previously hinted earlier this year that the group were nearing the finish line on the project.

“Sleeping With The Enemy” follows the band’s recent era of expansive visuals and darker conceptual storytelling, suggesting the next album may continue leaning into those atmospheric and emotionally intense elements.
