Phoenix, AZ-based groove metallers Incite have dropped their latest standalone single, “Just A Rat.” The band once again teamed up with producer Steve Evetts (The Dillinger Escape Plan, Suicide Silence) for the track, while Arthur Rizk (Soulfly, Blood Incantation) handled the mixing duties.
Accompanying the release is a music video co-directed by Jim Louvau (Kittie, Jerry Cantrell) and Tony Aguilera. This marks the band’s first release since signing with Reigning Phoenix Music.
Frontman Richie Cavalera shared his thoughts on the song, saying:
“‘Just A Rat’ is our first single, and it’s unique, heavy, and, to me, it moves metal into a whole new, fresh direction. I wanted the lyrical content to be very relatable—because, let’s face it, we’ve all dealt with a rat at some point in our lives.”
