Inferi will soon be entering a new era, as vocalist Stevie Boiser has announced his decision to step away from the Nashville-based melodic/technical death metal band.
After nearly a decade with the group, Boiser will play his final shows with Inferi during the band’s upcoming North American tour alongside Psycroptic, Cognitive and Summoning The Lich.
Inferi revealed the news on October 5, explaining that Boiser is leaving the band to spend more time with his family. The group has already indicated that they will begin searching for a new vocalist.
“After nearly a decade, 3 albums, an EP, and countless tours @mc_screamy has decided to step away from the band to spend more time at home with his family. We are thankful for the time together and wish him all the best in the future.”
Inferi added:
“We will be actively searching for his replacement.”
The upcoming trek will therefore serve as a farewell run for Boiser, with Inferi encouraging fans to come out and celebrate his time with the band.
“Our upcoming tour with Psycroptic, Cognitive, and Summoning the Lich will be his last with the band, so come out and help us wish him a fond farewell!”
The tour will also see Inferi performing their ‘Heaven Wept’ album across the trek.
