Bassist Thomas O’Malley Departs Ingested, Eyes New Opportunities

British deathcore outfit Ingested have confirmed the departure of bassist Thomas O’Malley, who has stepped away from the band following a multi-year run that included touring duties and a later full-time role.

O’Malley announced his exit on May 30th, sharing a statement via social media where he reflected on his time with the group and confirmed he is now pursuing new opportunities.

“I’ve decided to step away from Ingested. I’m grateful for my time in the band and for the experiences over the years. I’ve had a great time playing shows, touring, and being part of the journey, and I wish the guys the absolute best for the future and continued success with the new record and beyond.”

He also noted that he is actively available for future work across the industry.

“I’m now focusing on new musical opportunities and I’m available for touring, recording, and session work as a bassist and guitarist. If anyone needs a player, feel free to get in touch.”

O’Malley initially began touring with Ingested in 2022, before being brought in as a full-time member in 2025.

His departure arrives during a turbulent period for the band, with 2026 already marked by lineup and front office changes, including the firing of vocalist Josh Davies earlier this year following allegations that Davies has publicly disputed.

Following that split, the band re-recorded vocal parts for their latest album ‘Denigration’, with guitarists Sean Hynes and Andrew Virrueta stepping in to handle vocal duties prior to its May 08th release.
