Ingested Debut “Watch You Fold” Featuring John Gallagher Of Dying Fetus

British deathcore force Ingested have dropped their latest track, “Watch You Fold,” featuring guest vocals from John Gallagher of Dying Fetus. The song arrives in the wake of a major lineup change: earlier this year, following allegations against original vocalist Josh Davies—which he denied—the band parted ways with him and re-recorded the lead vocals with guitarists Sean Hynes and Andrew Virrueta.

The track is taken from their upcoming album Denigration, set for a May 8th release, and showcases Ingested at their most aggressive and uncompromising. Speaking about the song, the band said:

“‘Watch You Fold’ is a character assassination in slow motion. Lyrically, it’s aimed at the kind of smug, greedy parasite who hides behind legacy and respectability while everyone around them suffocates… The music nods to that mid-2000s Unique Leader era of blasting brutal death metal, fused with Sean’s melodic, brooding sense of atmosphere. Technical without showboating, relentless without losing groove, built around riffs that feel like concrete. Having John Gallagher on the track closes a circle, tying the whole thing back to the era that shaped our sense of heaviness. This is the sound of a once-revered statue being dragged off its plinth and smashed to dust.”

Ingested will bring their punishing live energy to North America this May as part of the ‘Chaos & Carnage’ tour, which is headlined by Thy Art Is Murder and features support from Carnifex, Bodysnatcher, 200 Stab Wounds, Gates To Hell, and Bodybox.
