Death metal trio Inhuman Condition—featuring current and former members of Deicide, Obituary, and Massacre—have announced their third studio album, Mind Trap, set for release on June 27th via Listenable Insanity Records.
The band has introduced the record with its first single, “Severely Lifeless,” accompanied by a new music video directed by Frank McMahon.
Vocalist/drummer Jeramie Kling shared his thoughts on the track:
“When I started writing this song, I felt an overwhelming sense of dread about modern humanity. As I explored that feeling, I realized it has never actually ‘been good.’ At no point in history has everything been truly fine—evil and malice have always been woven into humanity’s timeline.
There’s no one to turn to for answers. No authority has the solution. We’re surrounded by a mob of people clinging to distorted ideas, feeding off the decayed remains of misinformation. Even those who appear genuine and well-meaning are caught in the same cycle, consuming from the same polluted sources. This is what we’ve become. No one is coming to save us.”
Pre-orders for Mind Trap are available now through Bandcamp.
