Orgy have withdrawn from the remaining dates of this year’s Freaks On Parade Tour, with frontman Jay Gordon explaining that circumstances arose which made continuing with the trek “no longer workable” for the band.
The platinum-certified industrial rock outfit announced the decision on September 20, pulling out of the final stop(s) of the tour. The current edition of the Freaks On Parade Tour is headlined by Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson, with The HU serving as direct support.
Gordon addressed the band’s departure in a statement shared yesterday, though he stopped short of revealing what prompted the decision.
“I want to let everyone know that Orgy has made the difficult decision to step away from the remaining dates of the RZ/MM tour. Circumstances arose that made continuing no longer workable for us, and although I’m not able to discuss the details, this was not a decision we made lightly.”
The vocalist went on to thank those who supported Orgy throughout their time on the tour while expressing his appreciation for everyone involved with the trek.
“I’m grateful to everyone who supported us and came out to the shows. We have tremendous respect for the all the bands, fans, musicians, and hardworking crews involved, and we look forward to sharing what’s next for Orgy very soon via new music and shows.”
Gordon concluded his message by pointing toward September 26, suggesting that the band will have more to announce around that date.
“See ya on the 26th!”
