Former Mushroomhead vocalist Jeffrey Nothing (Jeffrey Hatrix) has revealed plans for a new solo album titled ‘20SICK’, alongside a summer 2026 headlining tour.
The upcoming record, expected later this year, marks the culmination of an eight-year creative journey for Nothing, who has continued to evolve his sound beyond his Mushroomhead roots.
Sharing the news via social media, Nothing outlined both his excitement for returning to the stage and the direction of the new material:
“2026 is going to be wild! I will be heading out on the road starting in July… I will be playing my solo material, some Shroom deep cuts, as well as a few songs from my upcoming record, ‘20SICK,’ that will be out later this year.”
The album was produced and composed by Joshua Vargas, with mixing and mastering handled by Ulrich Wild. According to Nothing, the record blends the experimental edge of early Mushroomhead with a heavier and more abstract sonic direction.
“It has the experimental nature of the early Shroom stuff while, at times, being heavier than anything Shroom ever did. This is a true expression of who I am as an artist.”
‘20SICK’ will also feature guest vocal appearances from The End and the masked vocalist Hated Stranger, both of whom are expected to join Nothing on select tour dates.
Beyond the music, the project carries added emotional weight. Nothing has faced significant personal challenges in recent years, including the loss of his wife to cancer in 2024 and his own cancer diagnosis in 2025. The album has since evolved into what he describes as a new chapter rather than a final statement.
“The new record started out as what I believed at the time may be the last record I ever put out on this earth and has turned into a new chapter that I’m very excited about.”

Nice can’t wait🙏
🔥🤘😁🤘🔥
Haven’t heard new nothing in years
When you’re overcoming cancer and have to raise funds yourself, things get fucky.
When he was performing with shroom last he was lip syncing, his last recorded project was AI… and he blocked me (a musician he shared a stage with) because I called him out on using AI and pre-recorded tracks live. He got all kinds of pissed off at me. Hey, if you don’t like getting shocked, don’t stuff a penny into an outlet. Simple as that.
It’s bad as an artist if people pay to see you perform live, and you’re playing a recording.
It’s bad as an artist to lie to people who paid to hear YOUR voice on the record, not a computer recreation.
I have little to no faith in Jeff to do the right thing by his fans considering how he’s been for nearly 15 years now.
David Allen Brown Actually, you got blocked for being a fucking weirdo who’s obsessed. I know this for a fact. Always popping up and writing weird little diatribes like the one you’re writing now.
Jeff has NEVER used AI for music. I was there when his record was written. He was forced to use backing tracks in Shroom, which was one of his reasons for quitting. You should watch saying false things about people like that. We have a collection of screenshots of you being weird and doing exactly what you’re doing now. If a lawyer got involved, you’d be pretty fucked as it shows clear negative intent and clear mental issues on your side.
You need professional help, dude. You’re pushing the “fandom” line to “this guy has some weird masturbatory addiction to Jeff.”
David Allen Brown it was Waylon wasn’t it
Ask Waylon or Jeffrey then. People always wanna do nothing but piss and moan
Anthony Leore I don’t believe that Jeff is a straight up singer that made mushroomhead who it was i never seen him lip sync I’ve been to alot of shows mushroomhead lost one of the best j man is back but Jeff started his own shit his voice made mushroomhead with j man there nothing like they used to be
Scott Wilson I didn’t say Jeff. I said it was Waylon
Anthony Leore no I agree it was towards the other guy I didn’t see a reply on his comment
Anthony Leore waylon never used pre-recorded tracks live, not as far as i remember, for the rest i can’t tell.
David Allen Brown lol where is your proof of him lip syncing? He was just in the car with his friend signing and sounded just like the record I’m friends with him so would love to hear/see your proof. Let me know buddy
David Allen Brown cry harder gay boy
David Allen Brown sure. 👌
David Allen Brown I saw Jeff with shroom the last tour they did that he was part of. Never used a track to lip sync with.
🤘🤘
He is touring with October Noir !
I didn’t give a shit about mushroomhead Jeffery nothing the ex faces or a killers confession. Their drama is far worse than anything in media today, like worse than ICP drama. There is a reason why 12 members were thrown out of the band. Is because they are all POS.
Can’t fucking wait!!!!
Dude is a terrible singer
JJ Righteous was a great guy taken by heroin. Miss him
Don Goff where did you heard that? I thought he passed away due to a heart attack.
William Boucher I knew him a little, wouldn’t call us friends, he was a friend of my sister though, taught guitar to my niece for a while.
William Boucher you’re both right. May he rest in peace
202SICK. There, fixed it
FUCKIN NICE !!!!
